Nine years into the industry, he's the founder and CEO of Nine Realms, and he still treats the work as a craft. He's hands-on with the parts that actually decide whether a product is worth selling. He picks the product lines himself, works closely with quality control, reads every certificate of analysis and lab result line by line, and tests products personally before they reach a shelf. If it doesn't meet his standard, it doesn't ship.
How He Got Here
At first, Jan was fighting to find a work-life balance with most of the jobs that he had. In his spare time, when he had any, Jan used cannabis to relax and relieve himself from the built-up stress.
He found cannabis wildly beneficial, so he decided to inform more people about it. But educating was not enough for Jan. Soon after, he co-founded Nine Realms to help people achieve higher wellness levels of the cannabis sativa plant in a safe and convenient way.
What started as personal relief turned into a decade-long study of the plant. Along the way he built a wide circle of cannabis professionals across Europe, and he kept the same rule for himself that he keeps for the catalogue: learn it properly, or don't speak on it.
Where is He Now
Jan gives everything he has to grow Nine Realms and provide people with the top-shelf cannabis products all over Europe. With flawless intuition and leadership skills, he has united a team that works toward new goals and achieves them.
If we are talking about "Never trust a dealer who doesn’t get high on his own supply." Jan cannot be any further from it. He continues to utilize the therapeutic benefits of cannabis to enhance his level of relaxation.
Day to day, his expertise sits in cannabinoid types and how they differ, product formulation, sourcing and supplier vetting, and the EU cannabinoid laws he tracks as they shift. He leads from the product side, not the spotlight. The work shows up in what's on the shelf, not in headlines.
What We Publish, and How We Keep It Honest
Nine Realms doesn't only write about the products we sell. We're building a knowledge base across the whole of cannabis, the new cannabinoids worth knowing about, the different product types, and the things worth doing while you enjoy a joint, so you can stay educated on every side of the plant. New findings go straight to the blog. We do sell some of what we cover, and we'd rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. The content stays honest because we check it against our own hands-on experience and established sources, and we flag where the science is still thin instead of overstating it.
